sensor on back of block?

Hey guys...when I pulled my motor I broke off the sensor which is on the top of the block at the rear. It's like a screw in fitting with a plastic sensor on it. You guys know what that is and what its for?

It's most likely the oil pressure sending unit for the gauge on the dashboard. Is it right near the intake manifold / block seal at the rear of the motor on top?

The one in the oil pan is the oil level sending unit.
It monitors the amount of oil in the pan, the pressure sending unit monitors the oil pressure in the motor.
