Re: Security system problem (please read)

So here's what I did...

Take the key and turn it to the run position and let it sit there for 10 minutes, after the 10 minutes is up, turn it off and wait 5 seconds.

Repeat this process again and take the key out and wait another 5 seconds and put the key back in. Turn it to the run position once again and let it sit like that for 10 minutes. This would be a total of 3 times, and 30 minutes with the key in the ignition in the "RUN" position. Turn the key off, wait 5 seconds, start you car and "VOILA!" Pretty ridiculous that this has to be done, but it costs nothing except time and frustration. However, my car still intermittently has this security problem where I have to mess with it yet still. Have to take it to the dealership to see exactly why it keeps doing this. Damn POS

I doubt it's this exact method that fixed the problem. turning the key and such so much just probably "wiggled" the key into a good place to make the connection, especially since you still have the problem. just use shoebox's site and it'll cost about $5 instead of the hundreds the dealer will most likely charge you.
