Security Light On - Problem!!

Heres the story. The security light is on in my 96 camaro z28. I did the VATS bypass, and the light is still on.

Heres my theory...A couple weeks ago, my heater core was leaking. I took the bottom kick panel and glove box out, in hopes of catching the coolant and throwing it out after it leaked, because I didnt have the time to fix it. One day, the heater core actually sort of exploded, and "spewed" coolant over the wires that went to the electronic box (I dont know what it is) that is under the passenger dash. When this happened, my car wouldnt start, and the security light went on. After a few hours, the car started up, and there wasnt a problem with startup. A few days passed, and then the security light just came on, and it wont go off. It started fine and everything, I was just worried that it wouldnt. Then I bought the VATS bypass, installed it, and the security light stayed on. I am out of ideas, and I just want to make sure I dont get stuck somewhere.

Another tidbit - after the heater core exploded on those wires, and the car wouldnt start, my remote for my lock/unlock for the car stopped working, and I tried to reprogram it, and it still wont work

Any Ideas? Anything helps!!

Thank You!!

you need a body module. or a BCM or body control module. that 'box' is for the 'security' portion of the PCM. it controls door locks, remote entry, DRL, windows, hatch and all kinds of non-emissions, BODY related computerized info

I think he is right. Sounds like the BCM is done for.....or at least has a serious problem......It's "generally" not good if stuff like that gets wet with power on it. Are you sure that everything is dried out?
