Angry Security Light

The Security light on the gauges has come on and does not shut off. Usually it comes on at start up and then would have shut off. Does anyone know what might be causing this???...I have no alarm system on it so is it possible it might be a sensor or would i just need to disconnect the battery for a couple of hours?

It is usually because the Passkey system is not able to read the pellet in the ignition key. Start by making sure your key and lock cylinder are clean and maybe even try another key.

You can also bypass the key cylinder for testing by using a resistor in place of the key. More info: http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...hreadid=182084

get some contact cleaner from radio shack (~$10) spray it on the key's pellet and up into the ignition cylinder, then try replacing the key with a new one, then replace the ignition cylinder

i did that, my ignition cylinder had a wire completely bitten in half
