Secondary Vac Canister Install

Hey guys, I bought an extra vac canister for use once my cam goes in. It has the one way check valve in it. Anybody have experience hooking up a secondary like this. I'm wondering which lines I need to tap into for the vac source and the feed to the brakes...

Thanks in advance...

You can tap into any of the fittings on the side of the intake manifold.

does that include the one that I plugged when I pulled the EGR solenoid off? The little 1/4 inch one or whatever? Also, which direction does it get hooked up? should it be able to flow freely into the intake, but not allow air to go in the reverse direction? And one last thing, should I be able to just "T" into the line that runs from my current canister to the brake booster?

I don't know what size the lines are on your can, but if the can is only for feeding the brake booster, then put it inline with the existing booster hose. If you tee it into the brake booster hose, vacuum would be able to bleed back toward the intake manifold. I would think your can should have some indicators for vacuum source and device you are running it to.

Here is the can i have...

The black piece is the check valve. I can suck air "out" of that black fitting, but if I try to blow into it, it blocks off. The gold fitting is just an elbow of tubing. I can blow on it (which makes air come out the black fitting) but I can't suck air out of it, because it gets shut off by the black fitting's check valve...

If you notice, there is a check valve on the brake booster, too. Looks to me that you would run your vacuum hose from the intake to the canister check valve and then hose from the elbow to the brake booster.
