Seatbelt Light won't go off
Seatbelt Light won't go off
The seatbelt idiot light won't go off, even if I plug in my seatbelt

Any ideas on how I can start to fix this? (not just unplug it?) Not sure which wires run where...

Re: Seatbelt Light won't go off
The first thing I did in my Camaro was unplug the seatbelt sensor, I can't stand that sound right when you turn on the car w/o having the belt on (even thought I put it on before I start driving) I's right under the seat by the base of the seatbelt

it just stays on.
Re: Seatbelt Light won't go off
Where is the dinger module? Mine got shorted I think so it makes a funny sound now, and my seatbelt light stays on also. Anyone have a part number for it? I even tried the paperclip thing as well under the seat to make it think the belt was fastened, no luck though.
Re: Seatbelt Light won't go off
that dinger module is underneath the stering wheel, you have to remove the panel below the steering wheel.
anyway is is a brown plastic box the size of a deck of cards or pack of cigs...pull it out..the seatbelt light and your door chime , key and light chimes will quit working as well...
mine came out the day after I got my car...have not missed it a bit

I still get my door chimes and such, and would like to keep them. Does anyone know if replacing this chimer thing may fix the problem? IE can it be defective even though it works for other things?
