Angry Seatbelt light will not go off!!!!

I always wear my seatbelt.....always. And everytime I buckled it up the light always went off, and if I was working on the car and turned the ignition on only, it would still go out after about 30 seconds or so, even though the belt wasn't buckled.

Suddenly last week the light started staying on constantly, at all times the ignition is on; driving and buckled up.

I checked the connection at the base of the seatbelt and it is connected and in good shape.

What happened? Has anyone else had this happen before? I did a search and came up with nothing. I do not want to disable it, I want to fix it to work as it is supposed to work.

I know it doesn't really hurt to disable it, it doesn't add 'power' if it works..... I just like to have everything on my car work. It really irks me when the little things quit working, you know?

Check the sensor that plugs into the seat belt peice that is attached to the right side of the drivers seat belt at the base. Make sure it hasnt come loose. Otherwise take out the bulb, or get out the electrical tape and the problem disapears.
