"Sealed power" lifters

I just replaced my lifters with "sealed power" pn HT-2148
The local parts house the oe from their catalog.

Over the last 2 weeks the valve train has gotten a little louder. Is the 1/4 preload enough for these lifters? Or should I have gone further?

I have about 300 miles on the new lifters if that matters any.

Tim

edit: I used the #1 and #6 tdc method from shbox.com. Also I am running 1.6 summit rr nsa, guide plates and hardend push rods

Try setting the lash with the motor running.

Set them running. I have these, they are basically oems with just a little wider roller.

Set them with it running. Once it stops ticking 1/8th of a turn was plenty.
