Talking the seal on the intake manifold

hey everybody first off i want to thank this website for helpin me with my camaro its back on the streets now, i got my cooling system running perfect.

Ok heres what I need help with theres a seal on the intake manifold on the drivers side that holds I believe the PCV valve,well the seal is in bad shape,I need a new one.....would an auto parts store i.e. autozone carry that seal,and if they do carry it may I please get the name of that seal.thank u alot brothers i really appreciate it

It should be a universal seal. Alot of PVC systems used the same one. You should be able to find it in the help section parts at Advanced Auto. Or they should be able to pull it off the shelf for you. It's called a Grommet for the pvc system.

I think it's a dealer only part. Without looking, I think it has a strange, nearly square section. A round one from the 'zone won't fit.....

Yes it will. The OEM grommet is square, but the hole in the manifold is round. It should be pretty easy to find one that fits.

There was the following thread that had excellent photos of the intake manifold and all it's passages revealed including the PCV hole (guessing ~3/4") ... the search function doesn't find it anymore. It was by Mikey97Z, perhaps it can be retrieved by a moderator or reposted by the originator. It was comment #7 in the 1st ref. The 2nd ref had the photos and seems to be missing.
