Seafoam DeepCreep --- Now NO ELECTRIC POWER... HELP!
Seafoam DeepCreep --- Now NO ELECTRIC POWER... HELP!
Dunno what else to say. I saw deep creep in the store finally so I bought it. I gave it a liberal spray (with the car off) down the throttle body, about 1/2 the can. I let it sit for about 1/2 hour (as well as the normal seafoam stuff), and when I went to restart, I got 2 cranks then no power. I tried to jump start but it's just totally dead. Help please!
p.s. to the mods sorry for the x-post but i know not everyone reads both forums and hopefully i could get a quicker answer this way.

I think you're supposed to spray with the car on... Before I say your engine is hydrolocked.. could you describe "dead" a bit more?
Is the starter clicking at all? By no power do you mean no cranks? or is the acrtually no power to anything (radio, dome light etc).
If your lucky could just be a loose battery connection... When you jump started the car and said "its tottaly dead" do you mean it didnt click or anything(any power whatsoever)? You should at the very very least get power to the radio with another car jump starting it..

It didn't click or anything...like the battery got loose.
I have, however, fixed it. I'm actually pretty embarrassed.
The negative terminal loosened up a titch...somehow...just a titch. And that throws me completely because I have an optima redtop battery (with the terminals closer to the center of the battery) and if anything in my experience the positive terminal has ALWAYS been the one to loosen up a titch. When I tightened it up everything was good to go.
