Scorpion roller rockers - will full body fit on stock heads?
Scorpion roller rockers - will full body fit on stock heads?
I've been doing a little research and it seems of the cheaper RR's the Scorpions' seem to be well liked. I am planning on turning a stock short block w/LE2 H/C to no more than 6300 and I am on a budget.
Does anyone know if the SCP1003 Full body 1.6 SBC 7/16 Rocker Arms will work on stock heads\valve covers with the normal baffle removal/minimal cutting on the covers? I would really like to run NSA 7/16 w/ guideplates and hardened rods. I just want to know if these will work otherwise I have to go down to the narrow body which are only available with 3/8 studs. I realize the SA narrow body 3/8 rockers would probably work for this RPM and power level but the cost is so similar I'd rather go big now in case I have to build the bottom in later and creep up the RPMs.
Any help would be appreciated.

I'd spend the coin on Harland Sharp before Scorpion since they are closely priced. I see Harland Sharp as a step above Scorpion. Although I've always had the best luck with Comp Pro Mag, Ultra Pro Mag, or Stainless Pro Mags.

The Comp Promag is a narrow body as well as any other claiming to be. They fit under the stock valve cover with slight trimming. I run the Scorpion Race series which is considered a widebody or std sbc rocker. I don't think you can run the stock cover. I use the Proform 141-131 cover which is 1/4" taller and has plenty of room.
