Schubeck modified lifters
#2
Where'd you hear about Schubeck?
I don't know about the mushroom tappets or flat tappet solids he makes but I don't believe Joe makes a "hydraulic roller". He does make a special "radius lifter" but because of the big radius and the hardness, they can only be run on a Schubeck cam core. The lifter is "solid" in every sense of the word.... no "roller" and no bearings. I ran one of these cams and lifters in my old top sportsman motor. Alot of guys are also using them in the top drag race classes. Many shy away because they have to go through Schubeck for the cam and feel that Comp, Isky, etc., have quite a few years on Joe in the cam design process. Some merit to that too I guess.
Interesting seeing Schubecks name on this BBS.

Tell you the truth i dont remember, but I did here he was modifying them for use in LS1s ( the stock hydraulic ones) necesseitating the conversion to adjustable valvetrain. LT1 already has that and same lifter so....
