Scat crank

I recently purchased a scat 383 stroker kit for my lt1..part # for the crank is9-350-3750-6000L..can someone please tell me if this crank will work in my block..I know its a 1 piece rear main seal. Are our 92-97 lt1s internal or externaly balanced?I have a feeling i messed up on this purchase..It was a impulse buy at the time..

Re: Scat crank

Stock LT1 is externally balanced, using a counterweight on the flywheel (or flex plate). But it's possible to build the engine either internally or externally balanced.

Re: Scat crank

Yes, that is the correct one piece rear crank for the late model blocks - although that is one of the cheap cast ones. It can be balanced either internal or external depending upon the bobweight figured on all your components - it will either require a slug of mallory with a neutral flywheel, or a few large drill holes with a stock style weighted flywheel.
