Just wondering if purchasing a scanner will be worth the money. My goal is to start doing all the owrk on my car, so a scanner would prolly be very useful. How often do you guys use your scanners? what kinds of information will they tell you, what scanners do you reccommend?

Im getting a scan cartridge for my hypertech soon...its going to save me alot of trips to Autozone for free scans!

 

If you're going to pour money into your motor, than yes.

 

Read this..... and decide if you think it would be helpful to know what you can learn from a scanner.

 

Do you guys think it's worth it to get a scanner if you already have a laptop with Datamaster?

 

Not unless you need to use it on a lot of vehicles that Datamaster might not cover.
