Yeah, if the + O2 wire got melted to the header, it would ground out for sure.

def start there. Like I said before. I helped 2 people with this same problem with this same fuse. it was the same thing. heat from teh headers melted the 02 wires and shorted the fuse. start your search there and spread out

Unfortunately, that info was added in his EDIT that seems to have been done after I asked him the question.... compare his post to my quote of his post.

I'll butt out and let you roll with this one.

ah. I didn;t even notice the edit, I must have found the post after that.

Yeah I went though this witha a friend. same deal. after he told me he had headers I told him to check wires a the harnes. Sure enough. melted. After replacing the extentions and sealing it up good all was well. I'll bet thats his problem as well. Only other thing that I can think of off hand would be a pinched tranny harnes if he did any tranny work of late.

From seeing this happen I know that when I do my headers I am going to suroud the connectors and wires with protective shielding. (i'm paranoid )

Re: Scanned my car...need help with these codes.

I checked out my O2 sensor wires, and they look fine. None of the wires come even close to the header. So I don't think they could melt from the header. I checked the pink wire at the fuse box to the pink wire on the wire harness with my voltage meter and that tested fine. It beeped at me, which means the wire is good. I'm not sure how I should check the yellow wire. Any other ideas??

I see that you have AIM, do you care to chat on there?
