If quality = Heavy then yeah they are great Here is a picture of one of the ports http://scottsterr.is-a-geek.com:8000/crapheader.htm Notice how you can see the outline of where the "header" sits on the head. Also notice there is no material there to seal it! Also notice the dark somewhat half moon shape near the left side of the port. That's where the header blocked the exhaust port. All the ports were like this. I've been around the street rod crowd for the past 17 years. Everybody I've talked to says sanderson has started to make crap in the past five years. These headers came with the car btw I would never waste my money on this junk. Does the owners son work the customer service line? Maybe he was the cocky sob we got when we called up.

No, the owners son doesnt. He is actually a Service Writer at a local Chevy, Buick, Ponitac, GMC dealership. The son is a really nice guy, but I think they sold the company a while back, which I was totally unaware. Maybe that is why they are starting to make crappy headers. Regardless of who made them, even Jesus Christ, those headers are really crappy, and there is no excuse for them.

Re: sanderson cast headers?

I did try to buy some 351C headers from them for my 37 ford coupe. When i tried to call to ask questions no one ever answered the phone and when i did get someone to pick up the phone. The lady that did pick it up had a big attitude. I ended up getting lucky enough to find S&S headers made headers for that application and i love them. So i believe oldschoolSS about the customer service.
