The saga continues!!!!!
Well…..after finally getting my valves adjusted right, I came across a new problem. I’m blowing a lot of smoke only at high rpms. No smoke at idle or even when I’m cruising up to 4,000rpms. But as soon as the rpms go over 4,000, smoke is just barreling out the exhaust. I also have no power at all through the whole rpm range.
My guess is I have bad piston rings. But then I would be blown smoke from idle also. So who knows, what should I look at first or test first?

Re: The saga continues!!!!!
Have you done a pressure test to the coolant system?? Does your oil or water level drop after a while? Is either of the 2 mixed?
Are you saying that you replaced the head gaskets and then adjusted the valves?

Yes. I had a blown head gasket, so I replaced it. Then I spent 4 days adjusting the valves just right. Now it feels like I have no power or pull through the rpm range and Im blowing smoke at high rpms.
