My guess would be that it will run but not optimal. You will get that dreaded SES light. My experience with my header install, ( i have a 97 obd II as well), is i simulated my rear o2 sensors and the fronts must remain to run properly (timing). I noticed a significant difference with the one of the front o2 sensors being faulty - replaced both fronts and ran alot better. You have probably read in past post from folks that the LT4 KM made a dramatic change to no difference at all. I have a 97 as you do with the LM, (replaced resonator with bullet), headers and off road pipe and noticed a dramatic difference. I wish i had a tool for before and after to see the actual timing being retarded from false knock. Point being, it might be worth your wild to dish out an extra $40 for the LT4 KM If you havnt done so already
