Rusty spark plugs (with pics)

Plugs from 7 and 8 were rust colored. What would cause that?.

The other 6 looked good - beige white color on the electrode.

2 yrs and 21K miles on the NGK 4177 plugs

Car runs great with the new plugs

Was the car sitting for a while? Ozone maybe? The two cylinders that had suspect plugs had valves open?

I remember reading years ago that fuel additives will cause redish on plugs. I like the open valve idea

My plugs looked the same, after plug change I checked a few plugs after several nitrous runs. And they looked like that again. At least it wasn't lean! Still runs fine
