Rust in cyl. walls am I screwed.

In the process of getting my heads ported so I yank mine off, then a little financial devil came along so I've had to wait for two weeks now. So I went out today to check out the cylinder walls, and found some rust, well actually a pretty good amount. I had PB blaster soaked rags down in the cylinders, then a car cover over that, then my hood. So I thought I'd be fine, but I guees not. I'll be sending my heads out in 2 weeks maybe 3. How do I get the rust out, or should I just bite the bullet and yank her out and start on my stroker. The car has 103k on her.
Anyways, is there a safe way to get the rust out, or not.

Just wipe the rust off... Your cylinders are just like brakes which are also made of cast iron. Make sure you spray some oil or something to not scrape the walls.

WD-40, be sure to get what dust out of the cyl that you can.
