Running Speed PRo forged pistons....what should be the piston to wall clearance???

PArt # L2256F
Duro shield coated skirts

the sticker on the box calls for .001 minimum clearance.
Final bore of 4.000 or 4.001

The skirt size posted on the sticker shows: 3.99875 +/- .00025

I measured the skirt and it definitely came up as 3.9995 minimum, my mic doesn't read .0001 . Now thats well over the +/- .00025 !?!

There is a warning that the skirt size has not changed prior to the coating and to not measure the coated skirt and then compensate from there the clearances. It states just go with posted final bore size.

The problem is a lot of ppl are going with .003-.004 on forged pistons.
I plan to maybe spray some later down the road.
I dont want to go too loose neither too tight.

Anyone run these pistons??? in a standard 4.00 bore?
I'm thinking about going with a bore of 4.002 for a total of .00325 +/- .00025 in clearance. OR ".003" to simplify.
That is assumming that the 3.99875 skirt size is the uncoated "correct" skirt size that Speed-pro is "recommending" me to measure from.

Dang coating is complicating my life. Not to mention mixed opinions on forged clearances.

This is all assuming my 150K block is under 4.002 which I hear is a good bet on LT1's so I feel pretty good about it, but won't know for sure till I mic it.
