Question Running Rich, flooding while driving

I want to know if my car has a bad injector or what I have had this car for 2 years it has done this like 4 times in that time period. I have my car programed and I have the SLP IAC thing you plug it to help timeing. But on days when its real hott and you get on it a bit, you can smell lots of gas likes its running way rich and while driving sometimes it will jump a bit like its trying to flood out. Like I said it has done this very rarely, and one time it wouldn't start it had flooded itself out. So I wonder if my timing could be bumped up and its sending too much gas, or could I have fouled injector my car has 124k on it. Any ideas guys thanks

Check the fuel pressure. Also check the pressure regulator vac line to see if it's wet. If the line is wet, the diaphragm has a hole in it and is feeding fuel to the intake through the vac line. Check also to see how long the pressure stays up when the car is shut off. and check to see that the pressure goes up when the vac line is removed from the regulator and is plugged while the car is running.

Finally have your injectors professionaly cleaned on the car.

Is there a guide somewhere on how to check your fuel pressure, I got some friends who are pretty good with cars to help. Could this be a 02 sensor promblem running that rich?? I'm getting better with cars, last night tore down a 1997 camry to put a new timing belt on you got to take off the front fender talk about fun stuff. Thanks for you help

It could be O2 sensor related as well.

How old are the O2 sensors?

If you have headers, make sure the the O2 wires aren't burning through on the headers.

I see one down by the header on the passenger side where is the other at? Well up to last week to my knowledge they were the orginal ones in there. Then i got them used headers with a used o2 sensor so there proably old too. It has done this before I put the headers on, so it could be the other 02 it might the orginal one. Are bosch o2 ok? I could replace that one. thanks
