My error.... when you asked about scan software, I scrolled back up to the orginal post, which was for a 94. Sorry about that. You need something like AutoTap for your 97.

No sweat... you don't seem to be erroneous very often so I'll let it slide. I've actually been looking at an Actron 9180 handheld that claims to be able to read some PCM parameters in real time; as well as read and reset codes, etc.

I'll also check out the AutoTap (thanks for the reference). Auto X-ray seems to be a bit out of my ballpark since I don't care to be driving the car with a laptop hooked up to it all the time.

Man... I like that. And the full version is not much more than the handheld Actron I was looking at. Have you used this yourself?

Excellent. The screens kind of remind me of "Freescan" that I used on my Z many moons ago. I'm leaning towards this now. Thanks again for the input.

Back to the original subject of the post "running hot". I've been leaning towards going to the 'green', extended life anti-freeze in this car as opposed to Dex-Cool; which is what it calls for. My reasons are... all of my vehicles use the green type... and I don't like the orange residue look in the radiator... looks like rust to me (and maybe it is). Any thoughts or recommendations? After searching a little, seems like a few people have done this without any issues.
