I was going to post this in the Electronics section, but I think it fits here, too. My '93 Z has an MSD 7AL-2 with tach output. For many years, I've had my Autometer shift lite teed into my factory tach wire (at the cluster). When I started hooking up the electronics for my nitrous system, I added an MSD digital spark retard, NX TPS switch, and an NX "maximizer". When I hooked the MSD digital spark retard box up, my factory tach and shift lite starting going crazy...It would bounch around randomely. If I bypass the spark retard box, it all works fine. I've been over and over all the wiring diagrams, and I'm certain it's all hooked up right. Even if I disconnect the feed wire to the spark retard (from my nitrous solenoids) it still acts goofy.
I'm wondering if it's possible to just wire my shift lite and factory tach directly off my 7AL-2?
Thanks,
Frank
