Running Bad After New Opti

Well last week i put a new opti on my 1995 camaro (WAS RUNNING GOOD)and after about 3 days of driving the rotor fell off, so i sent it back and got a new Accel opti now the the car wont idle very well and surges going down the road like your pulling plug wires off, it wont hold a constant speed of rpm because it hits on all 8 one second then feels like your running on 4 the next second.. WTF???

After my opti replacement i needed a coil, coil wire, and a fuel pump relay. It made me think it was the opti because the car would take forever to crank. Sometimes woundnt fire, all sorts of odd symptoms that made me think opti.

So i would check the little things, they are most likely looked over. Well at least i did.
I am not really the best for advice on this kind of thing. Sorry, wish i could help

Did you check the connection from the opti to the coil? Is the wire connected properly? I'm no pro, but I couldn't help but think to overlook the obvious before making any assumptions... Make sure that your wires are all where they should be. Did you ground the Coil OK? The O-rings can break off when removing the Coil, and if they do, you'll get erratic behaviour (or no spark).

did you securely install the rotor or "button" inside the opti-spark? My buddy bought the MSD billet, had to rebuild it 3 months later becuase he didnt secure the rotor. But that may not be your issue. The other day at work, someone was wanting to return an Accel ignition control module. Tested bad. The guy I worked with went to replace it, and standard procedure is to check the new one. New one, straight from Accel, tested bad first time before he even built up the heat to it. Just throwing it out there.
