running 306 cam-beehives or 987s
running 306 cam-beehives or 987s
I bought a 306 cam and 987s with retainers and locks but no shims that have 9000 miles on them. The cam looks good but im wondering if i should go with some beehives instead. Im only running the 306 and stock heads while i save up for an le3 kit. Will the 918 beehives be enough for the le3?
What all will i need to switch to 918 beehives. Im not familiar with dif installed height and the 987s installed height was all over the place on the previous motor, so can i just install the 918s, retainers, shims?
Thanks guys
James

A few things...
springs, retainers and locks to start
Then you need shims to get them all equal and to measure that a valve spring micrometer to check and set all your installed heights.Valve Sprin Micrometer
