To run Freescan or similar software, can I use a desktop PC?

or does it have to be a laptop?

In other words, does it log data while driving, or while the car is parked?

I don't have a laptop, but I have an extra desktop I could load the software on and set it up in the garage if possible...

thanks

You can log sitting still or driving......but obviously the latter cant be done with a home pc. I have an old 200mmx that I use in the garge to upload to the pcm and monitor idle numbers, but you need a laptop to do the real world logging.
