RTV or something better?

Im leaking oil out the back of my intake on the passenger side so it looks. So over thanksgiving im gonna rip off my intake and re-apply something to seal it off so i no longer leak oil. I see there is no gasket that is used and in the manual it says it uses RTV. Has anybody had this problem and found something to apply on the back of the intake to fix this leak before? Copper RTV? RTV? "Right Stuff by Permatex"? Just looking for some suggestions so i wont have this leak anymore. Thank you

Cory

All you need it 1 tube of ultra copper permatex RTV. Apply a bead on the front and back where the intake connects to the block. You may even want to score the surface with a blade for a even better seal. I just ripped my intake off yesterday for the first time in about 30-35k since doing that fix and the seal looked perfect. It is a vey common problem on LT1's, and the ultra copper is a very common fix.

i just used black RTV on my intake. Some guys recommend using a punch and dimpling the lip on the block in a few spots so the silicone has something to grab onto.
