Last night I went out with some buddys in a vette and so we were driving around aggressively and having some fun. long story short after all of this my car is running like absolute crap today. It has a really really rough idle, but when you get into gear and actually start driving it is not bad. This has happened before after really getting on it and it usually goes away by itself. Any ideas?

 

Could be a number of things. Dying opti, wires, fuel filter, etc. Start with the two cheapest things. Fuel filter and the coil to opti spark plug wire.

 

just had a tune up with all new wires and plugs in december, so that cant be it i dont think. i will try a fuel filter maybe.

 

mine does that once in a while, iac vavle. does the rpms drop in between shifts? or does it have a low idle then after a while it picks up?

 

idles just fine according to gauge
