Angry Rough Cold Idle

I just changed my EGR valve that was sticking open. Before my car would idle rough all the time, now it runs rough when it is cold but as soon as it gets to running temp, it is smooth. I havent checked for any codes since I changed the EGR and there might be some old codes in there still. Also, my car takes a LONG time to warm up. I can drive 15 min to work doing about 35 to 50 miles an hour and it still isnt all the way warmed up when I get there. Any input you guys would have would be great. What would cause rough idle only when cold.

Hey, im not 100% sure but I think if you disconnect the battery for a 1/2 an hour or so it resets your codes. Try cleaning your Idle Air Control valve. Buy some good carb cleaner and get all that carbon off the end of the valve and spray down in the hole to clean any carbon build up that may have collected there. Id give that a shot first. see-ya,

Sorry I forgot to mention that I already cleaned the IAC. I did that and cleaned the TB really good. Any other ideas, thanks for that suggestion though.

check the secondary ignition system, fuel filter, & fuel pressure. If those are good and your sure your air filter is clean id look to see if any of your sensors are throwing codes.

Fuel filter is changed, air filter was cleaned about 1000 ago, and i just had it scanned and the only code was the egr code 32. I changed the EGR after I got that code. This is getting pretty frustrating since I dont have ALOT of money to spend on this thing. Any other ideas??

My car is currently displaying code 32 but it's running perfectly fine so I unpugged the vac line out of the EGR and I havent had any problems with it at all. try unplugging the vac out of the EGR and see if it still idles rough. your new EGR could be bad.
