Re: roller rockers and valve spring help!!!!!!

10-15 rwhp is the norm with 1.6 rockers.

Parts depends on your budget and future plans. If you are not going
to do anything else and want to go low budget then consider the
LT4 springs and Comp magnum 1.6 rockers. You should also replace
the valve stem oil seals while you are in there. The for sale board is
also a good source for parts.

The LT4 spring set is less than $40 list price from the dealer. I have
a connection a my local dealer and got them for $32.

GM PN 12495494

I think the number for the rockers is Comp 1418-16, but you need to
confirm it.

Re: roller rockers and valve spring help!!!!!!

Well i'll go to my local dealer tomorrow and check on the price for the springs. I used to work there and still get employee list price so hopefully that'll save me too like you lucked out with. I searched Comp Cams website for that part number and came up with this. http://www.powerandperformancenews.c...Category_Code= This is correct right. If you can't tell i'm clueless really about all this stuff lol
What sucks is i just got a tune from madz28.com and if i do this i'll have to send it off for a retune!

Get the retainer's and keepers with the springs. I didn't and it cost me an engine. The stock retainer folded up from the increase in spring pressure and dropped a valve @ 6000.

1418-16 are roller tip rockers. 1318-16 are full roller rockers
http://www.powerandperformancenews.c...Category_Code=

You can get them alot cheaper elsewhere, I had Summit to price match mine for $278.

We could bench race power numbers all day, but I gained 7 hp at the wheels and 2 lbs. of torque on the dyno.
