I am going to get some crane gold race series rr and i was wondering if you guys think that i should get some valve springs too. I wasn't sure, other people have told me to get springs too but i don't know. Also i was wondering where the cheepst place to get a 160 thermostat. thanks guys

 

You should definately change springs. I'm not sure how old you car is or how many miles you have on it but springs grow weak over time and part of the power poeple gain from switching to 1.6rrs is from a fresh set of springs that won't float the valves at higher rpms.

As for thermostats, since they are all around the same price it doesn't really matter where you buy it from. Any of these places would have tehm at decent prices.

you dont NEED to, but its a really good idea seeing how cheap LT4 springs are. good time to get some new valve seals if your burning oil on startup like every other SBC
