Roller Rockers

Hey guys, hopefully by the end of this month or next i will have enough saved up for a cam/valvetrain package. Just got a quick question. Just about everyone i've seen using aftermarket roller rockers uses 1.6 ratio. Is there any company that makes larger like 1.7, or 1.8? Why don't more people use them if there are companies out there...does it hurt driveability? I thought the LS1 comes with 1.7...but i could be wrong. Just curious.

Yes they make larger ratios but they cost a small fortune.

Just get the additional lift you want ground into the cam.

Putting 1.7 rocker arms on would also add unwanted stress to your valvetrain. Stick with 1.6s and get the extra lift ground in, as said above.

i believe once the ratio gets too high it effects valvetrain geometry. Also i think you would need custom valve covers for them to clear.
