Is that the picture?

That was about 6 months ago when my rockers weren't properly adjusted and my nitrous leaned out too much, so I had a pretty decent backfire that ended up causing the rocker to go sideways on the valve.

Are you positive you adjusted the rockers properly? If you're not positive you haven't, then I'd suggest going back through and readjusting them to be sure.
Follow this guide, it'll save you a huge headache:

I've seen Crane Golds rub on the bottom of the studs before, is that your problem?

I had one of my expensive Crower ss self-aligning RR jump out of position once. It eventually beat the lock and retainer until the valve dropped. I never did determine the cause of it jumping, but no more self-aligning RRs for me.

It is a good thing you caught that problem early.

A lot of the time the roller rockers will rub the retainer just a little bit instead of riding completely on the valve tip. If that is the case then about the only thing you can do is to use some -.050 valve locks to extend the valve tip and make sure your springs will still work correctly. I just fixed this on a customers engine with three roller rockers chewed up. Make sure you can slide a piece of paper between the rocker and the retainer for clearance
