i have stock LT1 heads on 97 SS, 561 castings, and i was wondering what size the rocker studs are, 7/16th or 3/8th. and where is the best place to get a set of 1.6s, self aligning. thanks

3/8ths is the stock size of the studs.

www.combinationmotorsports.com is where I purchased my whole cam kit. I upgraded to 7/16ths NSA 1.6RR with guideplates.

Yep 3/8 stock. You can find them for around $175-200(self aligning) in the for sale section every once in awhile.

If you are upgrading to roller rockers it makes sense to upgrade to 7/16" studs. A set of ARP studs is ~$35.

The 7/16ths studs are much larger. You're only helping things stayed aligned (read less wear over time), by going to these studs.

If you saw the size difference between the two, you'd not think twice. Especially for the price difference.
