Roll bar/cage just because?
Roll bar/cage just because?
Anyone have a roll bar/cage in their car but don't really race, or don't go fast enough in the 1/4 where it's required? Also, how much woul da 4 or 5 point weld in cage cost to get welded in?

I don't know if I'm doing it, I was wondering about what other people did....I plan on slowly building up my car to a pretty decent race car, and in 2 years (or when the engine goes, whichever comes first) I'm gonna put in a 383/396 stroker.....so I'm slowly doing what has to be done for the race car (bigger gears, all the safety stuff, etc) until the engine goes in. Plus I look at pics of cars with cages and think it looks bad azz.

I'm putting a cage in this year. I don't go fast enouht to require one but I started to run in Heavy Eliminator this season. There are a lot of 10 second cars passing me at the end of the track going by at 130mph. Wow they close on you fast. I'm also set for any power adders down the road (383 stroker.
). Next season Heavy will allow 9 second cars. Even more reason to get the cage.
