Roll Bar

Well it looks like I need a roll bar to race at Capital.

Here are the things i am looking for...i still want to have a backseat...i dont want the roll bar affecting the backseat passenger area at all. I also want it to be safe, i have heard stories of roll bars snapping off and causing more harm than good. So guys please direct me what to get...i want to be safe but i want use of my backseat.

Maybe a 5-6 point with a removeable crossbar for the back? Just a thought.

here is a LINK for a 6 point, but you should know that a removable cross bar is not NHRA legal.

So you need a 6 point roll bar with non - removable cross brace if i were to run faster than a 14.0?

Ok well this roll bar doesnt appear to interupt the back seat at all does it?

You only need 5 points to be NHRA legal, lots of folks put in the 6th point (passenger side door bar) just for safety. But personally I'd write off the back seat, whether you had a removable cross-bar or not. It's not going to be safe for someone to sit back there with those bars nearby....

Arrrr...this is aggrivating. I want to be able to run my car at a track...but i need a roll bar...and i want a fully functional backseat...thats the reason i bought another camaro and not an older vette. I do see what you mean though, people could get injured from the bars in the back...i am about just to say screw the track.

How fast are you running? NHRA doesnt require a roll bar unless you are 11.99 or faster.

You can usually get a couple of good runs in before they kick you off the track. Just leave the top up and wear a helmet until they toss you Unless it is OBVIOUS that your car will run 13's, but that isn't obvious if it looks stock-ish.

I got the cheapest helmet that would fit, and it was at a motorcycle shop. They're cheaper online, if you can figure out somehow what size to buy. You want it to fit snugly, not loosely.
