Rockers too tight.. Cost me a couple MPH?

I've been trying to figure out why I've only been running 1 MPH faster with bolt ons then I did when my car was stock. I know I had some clutch issues, and I got my SPEC stage 2 in this weekend. As I was ssearching through some posts it dawned on me that I think i tightened my rockers down too much. I set them at 5/8 to 3/4 turn past zero lash, which is about right for bolt down rockers, but I have seen that the stud mount rockers that the LT1's run should be set at zero lash to 1/4 turn past. The car seems to run fine, but is it a good possibility that some valves may be hanging opoen and costing me a couple MPH on the top side?

My Comp Pro-Mags are 1/2 past zero lash just as the instructions stated. No problems here.

What gears do you have? In 93, they offered 2.73 gears in the M6. A friend of mine had a 93, switched them out to 3.73s and saw a giant change .. 2.73s are just too low ..

I had 3.23's in my rear end. I blew it up and picked up a rear end out of a '96 z28. It has 3.42's in it.

With stock lifters 3/4 a turn is not hurting you, now you may pick up a little by going to 1/4 turn, but the factory puts them at one full turn past zero lash.
