Rockers rubbing Retainer

I have comp 987 springs with with the retainers to match. For Rockers Im using gmpp 1.6rr and When I pulled the rockers off Im noticing that the some, not all of the rockers are touching the reatiners and rubbing. Ive noticed this on two pairs of heads now. I though the first pair was a coencidence but now Im starting to wonder. Any other people having this problem when using after market valvetrain?.

I have some Isky Springs with Stock Retainers and Crane Gold Race 1.6 rockers and Have no problems at all. It may be something with the retainer and rocker design.

I had the same problem with crane golds(SA) and crane springs 1.460 OD. Not all were touching but at least 1/2 were. I took a die grinder to the rocker where it was touching to make enough clearance. I think its because of the stud location being skewed by either casting tolerance or rocker stud runout. Oh and by the way I dont recommend grinding on the rocker, the manufacturer says thats a big no-no. I got about 10,000+ miles on them since.
