Rockers get louder as car gets hotter?

When I first start my car the rockers aren't too loud and it doesn't bother me but once it has been running 15-20min they make a lot more noise. I have adjusted them with the engine running but now I have over the valve cover wires which would make it difficult to do again.

Anyone know why they would be getting louder once the car warms up?

Also any tips on how to use the engine running method when I have OTVC wires?

I know they can be loud. This just seems too loud. I might pull both valve covers tomorrow and see if anything is out of the ordinary.

I'm running COMP promags and they're kinda noisy. Nothing to worry about.

You might try using 10w-40 dino to see if you can quite them up a tad.

IMHO, those who believe it is worth spending the money on expensive, thin, synthetics on a well-used engine may be courting problems more than noisey valve trains.

I switched to 10w-40 dino when my engine had 1000 miles on it. Did it just to quite it up some. Also tightened the rockers up some a bit more. Not all engines are created equally and may require different adjustments and oil wts. JMHO
