i just bought a nice cam and want to go with a 1.6 roller rocker i think. any one wanna recomend a nice set? do the brands really matter? proform seems to have some cheep sets but if they are going to fall apart i guess ill spend the extra cash. what do you guys think?

 

For a motor that will see a lot of miles, I'd say get chromemoly rockers such as the ever popular Comp Pro-Magnums. Aluminum is nice but won't hold up as long as CM.

is there really that much of a differance im trying to build this car up on a college budget and its starting to get hard.

 

If you don';t plan on huge mileage or really stout springs you will likely be ok with the Proform aluminum rockers.

At 118K I put Proforms in my car, at 132K I cammed it with appropriate springs, at 160K now no issues and still quiet. On the springs Combination Motorsports.
