rocker arms

rocker arms

right now i have a stock cam in my car and no time or money to get a different one. but i do have a set of 1.6 rr's sitting here. how much of a difference are they going to make in power.

You'll see a gain of around 10hp or so.

cool..thanks...with an addition of a hot cam the car shoudl pull pretty good so i am told...is the cam in an lt1 a good power source

Yeah, a cam swap is a pretty good way to increase your power. Your gains will depend alot on what grind you go with of course. But more importantly, the supporting bolt-on mods and a good tune go a very long way.

Popular Hot Rodding got over 20hp when they had a 96Z28 but then they had a supercharger on it, but when i got mine it said anywhere from 10-15 is more realistic so i agree w/2000 GTP. When i get them installed i will post some no,s.

You'll notice the difference with the 1.6 RR's in the upper part of the RPM range.

yea i just upgraded all my valvetrain to lt4.. I felt a real nice difference.. I have intake and full exhaust as well so I benefited from having those supporting mods.. I did a few WOT pulls and it really did feel a lot different specially in the upper RPMS
