rocker arm studs and nuts

I just installed 1.6 rr and the locking nuts that came with them wont clear my valve covers. Can I used the stock nuts with ARP studs?

If you're using comp pro mag's under stock valve covers, they *do* fit..

I didn't see what you were using though.

The only thing you need to do with promag's is cut up the valve cover supports some.

I using PVS rocker arms and not with stock valve covers. I just need to know with stock nuts will work with arp studs.

the rocker arms clear but the nuts stick way to high.

Just try a set of conventional poly locks.

Your studs aren't your problem, but rather the adjusting nuts are probably taller. I'm using a different brand of adjusting nuts and ran into the same problem. All I did was use a ball peen hammer to knock a divit where the nut was making contact and have no worries.

I got some really nice valve covers and I dont want to knock dents in them and I doubt I could. There cast aluminum.

I just need to different nuts.
