Rocker arm stud guide plate question....

I have 3/8 rocker arm studs that came with my GTP stage II heads. While on the motor they were used with guideplates and self aligning Comp cam pro mag rocker arms. Why both were used I dont know, the guy who touched my motor last was a moron....anyway would the rocker arm geometry be effected if I didnt used the guideplates again? They raised the stud....what a 1/10 of an inch?

The height differance won't matter as it will be taken care of with the nut. Think of the rocker arm kinda floating being held down be the nut (best description I can come up with ).
So your going with sa rocker arms?
