Rocker arm nuts coming off hard.

Im in the middle of a cam install and the nuts holding the stock rockers came off hard. They came off hard the whole way, not just tight at first, kinda like how a nut with chingered up threads feels. The threads look ok, and everysingle one of the came off like that.

Is this normal? Do i need to replace these studs?

I tried threading on the new fastner that came with the roller rocker, it went on just a bit easier than the stock ones cam off, but its far from twisting them by hand.

Everything is normal. The factory nuts are have threads that are "pinched" at the top to keep the nuts from loosening on their own. When you install roller rockers the nuts that come with them will have a setscrew that locks them in place. I hope this helps.

ARP will screw on by hand,or run a dye over the factory one.The stock ones are made with a higher % contact thread to help the self locking nuts.
