Alright, looks like I will do 1/4 turn and do it with the engine running. Thanks for all the replies.

 

That's the best way. set them a 1/4 turn and then go back when the engins running to do the final adjustment. Check lifters by pushing down on rocker arm push rod side. They should not compress when push down easy.
