The Right Shorties

What are the best shorties out there for a 96 ss that dont require replacing the darn y-pipe. If not Is there a better price for a y-pipe than 240 bucks. Also what is a good price for a new header and y-pipe combination. Any help would be great.

Do you have to worry about emissions? if not i'd recommend changing to 93-95 style headers and ypipe.

I think you can get the pacesetter setup (longtubes and Y) for about 450 uncoated. The coated shorties I got with my car when I bought it cost over $500 on summit.

SLP Shorties get my vote for 96's. Pricy though. Don't get BBK.

If you don't have to worry about emissions I would vote for the 93-95 single cat style Mac headers and Y-pipe. I have them installed on my car and the plug access is awesome. Also the hp/tq gain are great.
