I reached that power level with a CC305 and LTs. A few have come close with the GM847 on stock heads, but Madwolf has a nice cam as well.

It's a pretty smooth cam if it's tuned right. So far, no complaints whatsoever.

madwolf,i was also wondering about that cam (233\239, combination told me it makes the same power as the xe230 but much more midrange. how would this cam be for daily driving in a 383 m6? is it hard on valvetrain(springs mostly) i would like to get some descent mileage racked before i have to change springs

I think it would be a great cam for a 383 M6. Some would probably go bigger for a stroker, but I will go with this cam again if I stroke mine.

About how easy or hard it is on the valvetrain, I couldn't tell you. I only ran it for about a month before it went in storage. I used single coil combination motorsports 612 springs and many said these will wear out quickly. We'll see about that.
I am currently reving the car to about 6000 anyway. (I have the 700R4 in my 93 and I can't easily change shift points)

Munson, I replied to your email again. (sent you the cam card specs, etc)

rtracy,
I only have a 2400 stall. I didn't go bigger since I need it to be streetable.
