Reversion, pushrods too long?

After chasing a gremlin for 2 months now I check the tb, has some oil looking stuff on it

take it off too clean it the intake looks oiled down inside not too bad but you can see it. oil smell like heavy fuel after 20 passes. NO street time I checked the pushrod length, roller tips are slightly closer to the exaust side throughout the full cycle. 7.3 inch push rod. Would this cause my problem?
motor is pretty fresh all stock parts just honed and new rings and bearings less than 100 passes ago. I did use the thinner head gasket upon reassembly, I didn't think that would change my geometry too much but i'm running out of ideas after 2maf, 2 opti's, wires, autolite 104's and 106's, 2 tunes, fuel pump, injectors, I've scanned the car several times on a modis everything else looks good

Are you sure the oil is not being blown through the vent hose that runs from the passenger side valve cover to the throttle body? Pull the hose and the top plate on the TB and look for oil. See if that has any fuel smell.

nope. no hoses on tb sheet metal valve covers with moroso evac. going to collectors

pcv is still on and seems to be working properly, pcv is in the stock location with a u shaped hose going to the manifold.
