rev limiter help with pcm

I just want to view what the limiter is set at in the pcm(obd1)
I have it set at 7500 on the msd but just about 100ft from the traps at about 7000 rpm I hit the limiter.Any way to view what it is set at with a free program?

I have a laptop and the cable already

The stock PCM tops out at 7k rpms, at least the timing and PE tables. But, I have heard some have found a way to tune around that level.

My understanding is if you try a handful of PCMs you might find one that will let you have another 1-200rpms that is it though the pcm HARDWARE can't handle any more.
